Blackmail emails that demand a large amount of money in the form of Bitcoins, otherwise you would supposedly send embarrassing videos to friends, continue to spread.
But even in this current example, we can say that someone only appears to be threatening, but in reality is just creating hot air:

“Hello!
It seems that anse0205 is your password.
You may not know me and you're probably wondering why you're getting this email, right? Masturbation is of course normal, but if your family and friends witness it, it is of course a great shame.
I've been watching you for a while because I hacked you with a virus in an advertisement on a Рorno website.
If you don't know, I'll explain.
A Trojan gives you full access and control over a computer (or another device). This means that I can see everything on your screen and turn on your camera and microphone without you noticing. SO I HAVE ACCESS TO ALL YOUR CONTACTS. I made a video that shows you masturbating on the left half of the screen and on the right half you see the video you just watched.
At the push of a button, I can forward this video to all your email and social media contacts. If you want to prevent this, transfer an amount of EUR 500 to my Bitcoin address (if you don't know this, search “Buy Bitcoin” in Google):

(It is case sensitive, so copy and paste)
As soon as possible Once the payment has been received, I will delete the video and you will never hear from me again.
I give you 24 hours to make the payment. Then you know what's happening. I can see once you have read this email, so the clock is now ticking. IF YOU NEED PROOF, ANSWER “YES!” AND I WILL SURELY SEND YOUR VIDEO RECORDING TO YOUR 6 CONTACTS.
It's a non-negotiable offer, which means don't waste my personal time and yours by replying to this message. Greetings!”
What's behind it?
By inventing alleged masturbation recordings, fraudsters try to get their victims to pay money in Bitcoin. By giving the recipients a password, the fraudsters present themselves as competent hackers in order to further unsettle people. However, the recordings that are being spoken about do not exist, which is why such messages can simply be moved to the spam folder. This can help ensure that similar emails end up directly in the spam folder in the future.
How do criminals know my password?
If you have received such a message, you are probably wondering how the criminals could know one of your passwords. Unfortunately, through hacks of unencrypted databases, lists of passwords repeatedly find their way onto the Internet and are made freely accessible or sold there. If you use the same password in multiple places, it will be difficult to determine where the password came from on the Internet.
Should I pay the blackmailer?
It is not advisable to pay the blackmailer immediately. In addition to not relying on a criminal's word, any user who gives in to such a demand qualifies as a potential "permanent victim." to report such emails and other blackmail attempts immediately to the nearest police station .
The LKA Lower Saxony has also published some links where you can check for yourself whether your own email address appears in leaked databases:
But be careful: The pages do not claim to be complete, and leaked databases often only become known months or even years later, so unfortunately you cannot be completely safe if your own email address does not appear in the databases.
Result:
In most cases, such emails are pure attempts at fraud and the blackmailer does not have any juicy video footage of his victim.
Unfortunately, you can never completely rule out this possibility, so it makes sense to definitely report the blackmail to the police!
