The claim
The screen capture of an online search is intended to suggest that ZDF has deleted articles about Corona or the COVID vaccination from its website.
Our conclusion
As a public broadcaster, ZDF is obliged by the Interstate Broadcasting Treaty to remove content in the “news or information” category from its website after 12 months.
This accusation is currently being made by some social media users. A video of the screen recording of an online search is intended to suggest that ZDF is making contributions to Corona or the COVID vaccination disappear.

Example: How well do corona vaccines work against Delta?
We have picked out a topic that is shown in the video and which has also posted and linked to on its Facebook page The Facebook post is from July 5, 2021. It was about the effectiveness of the corona vaccines in relation to the Delta variant.
The link leads to the associated article on the station's website .
When you open the link, the page displays: “Unfortunately, this page was not found.
The content you requested is no longer available.”
Oh dear, is this actually proof that Corona-specific content has been removed? – One question comes to mind: Wouldn’t they have also gone to the trouble of deleting the associated Facebook post?

Second example: Hansi Flick becomes national coach
We have now fished out a topic that has nothing to do with Corona and was also posted in 2021 : “Football, DFB: Hansi Flick becomes national coach”
Here too, ZDF links to the relevant article on its website . And what are we reading here?
“Unfortunately this page was not found
The content you requested is no longer available.”
As we know, Hansi Flick has been the coach of the DFB team since 2021 .
Why do we use this post as an example? The screen capture from the cell phone is probably intended to suggest that Corona-specific articles are being removed from the Second German Television website. For whatever reasons. – Unfortunately, the video does not have any accompanying text or is not commented on. However, it is obvious that opponents or critics of vaccination will interpret it as a “subsequent cover-up”.
And now back to Hansi Flick: Why is a “harmless” article about football being removed? - That makes no sense.
Keyword “length of stay”
On the one hand, you could - just a suggestion - open the pages and read something more than just the headline that the content is no longer there. Here you can find out exactly why this article is no longer available:

News content will be deleted after 12 months, regardless of the topic the posts cover. The reason for this is that, according to the Interstate Broadcasting Treaty, public service content may only be available on the Internet for a certain period of time. It is described here that content must remain on the broadcaster's websites for a certain amount of time. ZDF provides this information on its website, and the telemedia concept is also available for download here.
Content about Corona falls under the category “news, information” and must therefore be deleted from the website after 12 months. The same is true with the article about Hansi Flick.
Conclusion

We rate the message in the cell phone video as misleading. It is suggested that ZDF has removed Corona-specific content from its website. The reason for this is left open, but it probably points towards a “cover-up”.
ZDF, like all public broadcasters, must comply with the requirements of the Interstate Broadcasting Treaty and accordingly remove content from its website after a certain, specified period of time.
