13-year-old boy missing – police hope for clues (UPDATE)

UPDATE 12/20/2019: On December 20, 2019 the boy's mother was called by the police! She was told that they urgently needed to talk to her and that she should come over. At the police station she was then told: her son is alive.

Missing boy discovered during apartment search!

Today (December 20th), investigators from the Specialized Commissariat for Sexual Offenses searched the apartment of a 44-year-old suspect in Recklinghausen. The reason was a decision requested by the Bochum public prosecutor's office on suspicion of disseminating child pornography.

While searching the apartment, officers discovered a minor in the closet. A check revealed that this was a 15-year-old boy who had been missing for a long time. There is currently no evidence that the boy was held in the apartment against his will. For reasons of victim protection, no further details about the boy will be released.

In addition to the 44-year-old, another older man was found in the apartment. Both were temporarily arrested and taken into police custody.

The investigators confiscated various technical devices and data carriers found in the apartment. A data carrier sniffing dog was also used to locate evidence.

The police are now hoping for the public's help in the search for the 13-year-old and are asking: Who has seen the boy in the last few days or knows where he is currently?
