Matthias Krämer from Neckarsulm spent several days of vacation in the city last year - and received a letter from a lawyer a few days after his return.

345 euro fine for a turning maneuver!

In the letter that reached him from a lawyer from Lower Saxony, he was accused of having entered a client's property without authorization in order to make a U-turn. Because of this “possession disorder”, Matthias Krämer is supposed to transfer 345 euros within a few days, otherwise he would be sued and that would be even more expensive.

Briefly touched a piece of land with the rear tires

Photos from a surveillance camera are attached to the letter. Matthias Krämer is annoyed: the transition from the alley to the driveway cannot be seen at all, and he also turned around on the street and only briefly touched the driveway. When asked, the lawyer explains what caused the problem in the case of Matthias Krämer, who only barely got onto the property with his rear wheels: The paving is not designed for the constant and regular turning maneuvers of unauthorized third parties and is therefore subject to significantly more stress , as if the yard were only used by authorized vehicles. But such a high ticket?

Property disorders are significantly more common in Austria than in Germany

The Kirchgasse and the monitored property have now also made it into the regional press. In addition to Matthias Krämer, many other drivers were asked to pay because of property interference. Lawsuits for interference with property are significantly more common in Austria than in Germany. Drivers in particular can quickly be affected. And Austrian courts decide in many cases in favor of the landowner, warns the ÖAMTC, the Austrian counterpart to the ADAC.

Lawsuit for interference with property: no way out?

Lawyer Jan Bröcker, who wrote the letter to Matthias Krämer, advertises how you can quickly and effectively defend yourself against illegal parking. He owns the websiteParkingdieb.de. He continues to threaten Matthias Krämer with legal proceedings in Austria. He's not impressed by it. However, he has lost his desire for Kitzbühel.
