Many Facebook users are currently receiving a personal message fake Facebook security page
As in other cases, an attempt was made to obtain user data via a fake login page and then immediately pass it on to fraudsters.
In this case, Google reacted very quickly and deactivated the page. However, the creator can still fill out the verification request or create another one at any time.
Important note: Facebook never sends a personal message to its users.
What normally happens here?
The affected user is redirected to a fake Facebook login page!
Example image of such a page:
Gladly used: Facebook Security
The account name “Facebook Security” is very popular because there is actually an official Facebook page with this name. In principle, however, one can say: this site does NOT write private messages to users.
The recreated accounts often have special characters in the name so that they are not found and banned via the search. For example, the name “Fâcebøøĸ Séƈurîƚy”. So anyone who finds strange symbols can be quite sure that it is a message from fraudsters.
The aim of the fraud is to get the user's access data. This is how profiles on Facebook are cracked.
