A gift from Adidas for Women's Day! That's nice though - well, if it were real, which it isn't.

There is currently another fake Adidas competition circulating on WhatsApp. There would be a gift for what was supposed to be Women's Day: a new pair of superstar shoes!

The bait has a very classic design. The logo was stolen and the supposed competition redirects to an external site where the competition would supposedly take place. Even if the URL contains the word “adidas” – it is a fake page in the name of Adidas, not the real page.

But here we are told that we were given the opportunity to receive free shoes. We have 4 minutes and 26 seconds to grab the shoes. Another tool used by fraudsters to put potential participants under pressure.

We start the “drawing” (whatever you want to tell us with it) and get to another page that has congratulations for us again. In the next step we find out that we have won the superstar shoes. To receive it, we still have to share the competition with 20 friends or 5 groups on WhatsApp and the prize would be delivered within 5-7 days.

In the end, it always comes down to the same thing - you have to register and provide your data. But be careful, it is unclear whether the prize even exists.

In the end it's about your personal data and data brings money!

Unfortunately, the actual purpose of these sites is limited to one thing: collecting data, selling magazine subscriptions and sending spam emails!

Even if you take part and think to yourself “Oh, if I play along, it won’t hurt anyone” – data always brings money and these sites will continue to exist in the future. Facebook pages that deceive you and make money from your personal data. Even a mere like maintains this type of page and harms you and your friends.

Note : Competitions regularly appear on Facebook and captivate users. They hope for a really big win but in the end they come away empty-handed. In these cases, only the site operator “wins”. We check competitions for their seriousness! This competition is not serious and deceives the participants. It doesn't meet Facebook's criteria and uses fake elements!

Fake Facebook pages repeatedly claim to be giving away expensive kitchen appliances, campers or cars. Finding testers for a brand is also a popular way to attract users. This scam is not new .
