Bückeburg - At 10 a.m. this morning, a Bückeburger received a call from the Hamburg district court, attempting to elicit details from the person called.

The senior citizen broke off the phone call and then received a telephone call from Chief Inspector Leitner from the Bückeburg police, who urged that the Bückeburg resident should cooperate with the district court.

In both cases, the correct telephone numbers for the Hamburg District Court and the Bückeburg Police Department were shown on the phone's display.

The Bückeburg police point out again that no telephone calls were made from the real Hamburg district court or the Bückeburg police.

“We don’t have Chief Inspector Leitner with us, this man is a fraud,”

explains Bückeburg police spokesman Matthias Auer.
