Hagen – An 82-year-old woman from Haspe had to deal with a brutal fundraiser on Tuesday morning. At around 9:45 a.m. the doorbell of the victim's apartment on Schützenstrasse rang.
A stranger initially asked for a donation for his daughter's surgery, and the woman asked him to leave.
Instead, the man forced his way into the apartment. The 82-year-old rushed after the stranger and grabbed his collar. At this point he was already in her bedroom and picked up a shelf. She pushed him out of the apartment, but soon discovered that the man had stolen a gold ring from the shelf.
She later described him when filing the complaint as 40 to 50 years old and 1.60 meters tall with dark hair and dark gray clothing. He was carrying a smaller backpack when the incident occurred.
