Are you already on Facebook? This incredible all-round service where you can not only send birthday greetings to your own mom, but also be friends with the hot Lisa?

What, you don’t know “Facebook” yet? Maybe it's because you're still in your 90s. You should therefore quickly secure your starter package and have Facebook installed. And have the JPEG of the guaranteed willing Lisa printed on your coffee mug.

This is what the Internet looked like in the 90s, this is what Facebook looked like in the 90s. This beautiful advertising video for Facebook from 1995 shows the cheerfully colorful world of the 90s.

Did it look like that?

Well, at least colleague Pornomatte and his stilted Voyer friend apparently don't come from our time. Nor the fascinating and absolutely stunning, future-oriented technology. Why were desks twice as big then as they are today? Correct! The monitor had to be on there.

However, even the stunning Jpegs of the even more stunning Lisa can hide this: this video is pure satire.

Who else knows AOL?

The forever young-at-heart kids of the 90s (like me) recognized straight away: someone had taken the carefree package from AOL in the 90s and coined it on Facebook, including the contemporary US lifestyle of this wonderful decade.

Comedian Brett Weinbach came up with this idea and recreated the 90s. With Facebook, in the style of that time. So again: No, unfortunately the video is not a real advertising video. Neither from Facebook, nor from 1995.

And I wish the kids of the 90s, who now have a slightly wistful smile on their faces this Saturday morning because of beautiful memories, a nice weekend.

Everyone else too, but really great for the kids of the 90s!
