During a soccer game between FC Augsburg and Werder Bremen, TV presenter and stadium announcer Arnd Zeigler received threats and insults via Facebook. Zeigler wants to deactivate his account because of this.

“Since there are apparently people who use a lost football game as an opportunity to threaten, harass and insult me while the game is still in progress ,” reports Ziegler, he first deactivated the comment function and finally blocked the personal messages.

Ultimately, he said, he now wants to take his Facebook page “off the internet.”
All of this happened during Werder Bremen's defeat at FC Augsburg, which meant that Werder slipped to 16th place on the penultimate matchday of the season. As of today, the Bremen native's Facebook page is still accessible.
