In many articles and videos you can see a vaccine bottle with the date March 2020 - supposedly THE proof that the pandemic was planned.

Vaccinations against COVID-19 have only been underway for a few weeks, and the manufacturer AstraZeneca is one of the developers.
An image circulating shows a vial of the AstraZeneca vaccine placed on ice and bearing the date March 15, 20. This is supposed to be proof that the vaccine has been around since March and that the pandemic is therefore planned - a "plandemic", as it is called in relevant circles.

The claim about the vaccine
The claim about the vaccine

On the label of the vial you can see the inscription “ ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 ,” which is the name of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. The bottle says 15-Mar-20, which stands for March 15, 2020.

A simple explanation

also being spread in English ( see HERE ) and the question is being asked as to which came first, the chicken or the egg, as some people seem to be of the opinion that the virus has only been around since March or April 2020.

The explanation is much simpler than the assumption that it is a “plandemic”:
The new coronavirus, which was first given the name nCOV-19 (nCOV = new coronavirus, 19 = year of occurrence), was discovered on January 7th Identified by Chinese authorities in 2020 see HERE ).

Already on January 10, 2020 ( see HERE ) a team in Oxford led by Prof. Sarah Gilbert, Prof. Andrew Pollard, Prof. Teresa Lambe, Dr. Sandy Douglas and Prof. Adrian Hill with the development of a vaccine.

In February 2020 ( see HERE ), so-called “seeds” of the vaccine were produced at the university's clinical bioproduction facility and sent to the Italian manufacturer Advent Srl, which produced 1,000 doses of the vaccine for the first clinical tests ( see HERE ).

This first version of the vaccine was called ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 - the name you can also see on the bottle.

Reuters ( see HERE ) wanted to know more and asked the University of Oxford. Dr. Sean Elias, a scientist at the University of Oxford's Jenner Institute and part of the COVID-19 vaccine team, said he took the above photo during production to document the process for his team and the media.

The date on the bottle shows when the contents were processed, on this day, March 15th, Dr. Sean Elias also took the photo for documentation and the press.

Conclusion

The photo is being distributed in the wrong context. Oxford University began developing a vaccine on January 10th. The picture shows a vial with “seeds” of the vaccine from March 15th, 2020, which was used as the basis for producing the vaccine for the first clinical tests.
