WARNING!

At Bochum University, stickers with the words “Refugees NOT welcome” are being stuck up.
If you want to nibble these off, you cut your hands because there are RAZOR BLADES attached underneath. If you see stickers like this, don't take them off yourself, just let them know at the information point, they'll send the caretaker and he'll get rid of them. Please share/spread widely!

Not true! We asked the university.

Based on our advice, the Ruhr University Bochum has published the following information on Facebook:

We have received numerous inquiries about stickers with the text “Refugees not welcome” that were discovered on campus. We strongly condemn these stickers. We are firmly convinced that science and research know no boundaries and are happy to continue to make our contribution to the welcoming culture.

A rumor has also spread on social networks that there were razor blades among the stickers, which caused injuries when the stickers were nibbled off. We cannot currently confirm this rumor.

Since we obviously don't want to take any risks, we ask you not to remove the stickers yourself, but to inform our caretakers. Please send an email with a detailed description of the location

[email protected].

The stickers will then be removed as quickly as possible in collaboration with the cleaning company commissioned by RUB.

The police have also been informed. Thank you for your help! #‎refugeeswelcome ^sk
