Frankfurt - Last Friday, plainclothes officers temporarily arrested four suspects who wanted to sell a vehicle to a 24-year-old buyer whose mileage had been manipulated.

The buyer, who comes from Unterallgäu, became aware of the vehicle on the Internet.
But when he first viewed the car in Frankfurt, a few things struck him as strange. He examined the BMW and, despite his doubts, made a small deposit on the total price of just over 20,000 euros. Eventually he informed the police, who then initiated appropriate measures.
Among other things, the previous owner of the BMW was identified. It was now clear that the vehicle's mileage had been reduced by almost 200,000 kilometers and the selling price had been doubled. At the agreed sales date at a gas station, the police showed up instead of the buyer. The officers arrested four suspects aged 20, 23 and 27. The manipulated BMW was seized.
