Hamburg - Officials from the Soko "Black Block" executed a search warrant yesterday morning on a 50-year-old German who is suspected of throwing stones and bottles at police forces and their vehicles on July 6, 2017 as part of the "Welcome to Hell" demonstration have.

The Hamburg public prosecutor's office obtained a search warrant for the 50-year-old's apartment in Hitzacker, which was executed yesterday morning. Access was secured by officers from the Evidence Preservation and Arrest Unit of the Hamburg Police (BFE).



During the search of the apartment, the clothing and a cell phone presumably worn at the time of the crime were found and confiscated.
An employee of the responsible weapons authority for the Lüchow-Dannenberg district was also present during the search of the apartment.
Since an official test procedure was initiated to revoke the gun owner's license, the officials seized 16 weapons that were legally owned by the 50-year-old by the time this test was completed.

In addition, two illegal weapons were seized.

The legal weapons are:

  • five sharp long weapons
  • two percussion weapons
  • two paintball markers
  • a CO-2 gun
  • three air rifles
  • a machine gun

The illegal weapons include a revolver and an air rifle.
