Go to Telegram they said. They said there is no censorship there. They said Bill Gates can't control you there with his chip vaccination.

“Go to Telegram! There are also Wendler, Hildmann, Naidoo and Co. They are all not subject to state censorship there. Telegram is FREE!” Cough, sorry. The horses probably got away with me a little bit.

So let's start again from the beginning: The messenger Telegram has become quite well known for a good year now. It is said that there is no “censorship” there. Telegram is therefore often used to spread myths.

And now a screenshot has appeared that could shock many Telegram users: Apparently Bill Gates bought Telegram! Gates, of all people, was stylized as an enemy during the Corona crisis.

What does Gates want to do with Messenger? Does he want to engage in censorship? Does he want to vaccinate via messenger? Is he now distributing FFP2 masks via message? Let's take a closer look at what this supposed breaking news report is all about.

Fact check Bill Gates buys Telegram

The solution to this picture is as simple as it is boring: No, Gates is not buying the messenger service. This screenshot from a newscast is not real but comes from a news story generator ( here ).

This means that each of us can invent a message using the address shown in the screenshot at the top right. This is then visually processed as if a television station or other news medium had spread this message as breaking news.

The reason for this picture is quite clear: it is a case of trolling. This is intended to unsettle users on Telegram. These users are confronted with their own myths and reservations. Gates as an enemy who is now on their heels.
