The little AHA effect for in between.

Many of you will have probably noticed the two bottom holes on the side of the Chucks. No, they are not there to prevent stinky feet or to let water get on your feet, but rather to be able to lace the shoe in a certain way. The reason: a more stable posture!

The “Chucks” came onto the market in 1917. They were originally designed as basketball shoes, although today they are more commonly considered shoe fashion.

And so it goes!

  • First, you lace up the shoes in the “classic” way, but the top two holes on the right and left remain free.
  • Now there are the bottom holes. To do this, take the right end of the shoelace and insert it from the inside through the LEFT front of the two holes on the side. Yes, on the OTHER side.
  • And now thread it back into the shoe from the outside of the shoe through the back of the two left holes and then out again from the inside through the second hole from the top on the RIGHT side.
  • Now all the fun with the left shoelace, but exactly mirrored.
  • And now thread the two shoelaces crosswise (i.e. completely normally) into the top holes. Complete!

It may sound more difficult to read than it is. Hence the whole thing as a video:
