And once again a site on the Internet has picked up Chunky's story and chased it through the viral world of Facebook.

It is clear that it is only a matter of time before we receive inquiries about this, which is the case again at the moment!

We ourselves have been dealing with this topic three times now and have been doing so since June 2016

“Teenagers steal this dog, feed it drugs, set its face on fire and break its neck.” This is how a status post on Facebook begins, which is currently making the rounds again.

Again, because this was already making the rounds in 2015.

It is clear that this evokes a lot of emotions among users and that we get countless questions about it. Usually with the addition: “I hope it’s a fake”

But unfortunately it is not a fake!

We researched and found that The Telegraph reported on this case back in November 2015.

A group of teenagers stole this little dog. After kicking him, they gave the dog drugs and finally set him on fire. The nightmare then ended at a landfill, where the teenagers got rid of the dog.

Caroline Doe, from the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), said of the case:

“This was the worst case I have ever dealt with. “Still, when I think back, a shiver runs down my spine.”

The perpetrators themselves have already been convicted for this crime!

However, due to your age, you could not be prosecuted directly at the time. The teenagers are no longer allowed to keep animals for 5 years and have to pay a fine of EUR 500-1,000.
