Corona vaccines and vaccination certificates are available for purchase on the darknet. Security researchers strongly warn against using such offers.

On the one hand, there are those who are still skeptical about vaccination, but on the other hand, there are those who cannot get the vaccine quickly enough. In addition, there are delays in vaccination coverage in Europe caused by delivery bottlenecks or insufficient orders.

More and more offers for vaccines, but also vaccination certificates, are now appearing on the Internet, as Check Point security researchers and the BBC report in a joint documentary.

Corona vaccines, vaccination passports and fake negative tests

Not only corona vaccines are offered, but also fake vaccination certificates or negative tests. Everything your heart desires to obtain the required evidence for various measures.

More than 1,200 advertisements have now been published on various darknet sites. In many cases you can even choose the vaccine. You can choose from Astra Zeneca, Sputnik V, the Chinese vaccine from Sinopharm and also the vaccine from Johnson & Johnson.

The most expensive is the Corona vaccine from China at around $750 per dose, while Johnson & Johnson and Sputnik V are offered for $600 each. Astra Zeneca is the cheapest at $500. For bargain hunters, there are also volume discounts based on the motto: “Buy two, pay one”.

A test purchase could not confirm whether a delivery would actually take place. Nothing was delivered after the order was placed, although it is sometimes stated that the vaccines can be shipped worldwide within 24 hours.

Negative Corona test certificates and vaccination certificates are also offered. These can be purchased from the USA, Spain, Germany, France and Russia for around $150. For this it is necessary to transmit your data such as first and last name. – To whoever.

The business of health

Is not it! Because none of the offers could be verified that the vaccines were actually genuine and therefore effective, reports BBC. Security researchers therefore strongly advise against taking advantage of offers on the Internet, as this has nothing to do with health care.

“It is important that people understand that attempting to obtain a vaccine, a vaccination card or a negative coronavirus test result through unofficial channels is extremely risky. Hackers are more interested in their money, their information and their identity,” says Oded Vanunu, head of the research group.
