  • Mag. Gerry Foitik (Vienna) is on the management of the Austrian Red Cross and federal rescue commander. Foitik is a member of the “COVID-19 Advisory Board” technical committee.
  • Mag. Elisabeth Glitzner-Zei s, PhD (Vienna/Salzburg) is a trained molecular biologist and has many years of research experience in the areas of immunology, cancer and dermatology. As a medical author and journalist, she has particularly focused on the impact of COVID-19 on children and young people.
  • Dr. Johann Holzmann (Tyrol) is a biochemist who, after many years of research in an academic environment, is now working professionally on the technical and regulatory aspects of drug development. Holzmann explains the biological basis of vaccination, drug approval issues and the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Univ.-Prof. Dr. Florian Krammer (New York) is Professor of Vaccine Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The biotechnologist, who was born in Styria, is currently researching universal flu vaccines, vaccines against Lassa, Hanta and Ebola viruses, as well as vaccines and the immune response against SARS-CoV-2. He has made outstanding contributions to media science communication surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • OA Dr. med. univ. Marton Széll (Vienna) is a specialist in internal medicine, infectiology and tropical medicine with a specialization in vaccinations and infectious diseases. In 2020 he was appointed to the Corona Commission and the National Vaccination Committee (NIG) of the Ministry of Social Affairs. The NIG is a commission that provides technical advice to the Minister of Health and prepares all vaccination recommendations for Austria.

Intensive Care & LongCovid

  • OA Dr. med. Wolfgang Hagen (Vienna) is an internist at the Hietzing Clinic, where his tasks include treating COVID-19 patients. Since the beginning of 2020, in his free time he has been trying to raise awareness about the pandemic and, in particular, provide information about the situation in the hospital.
  • OA Dr. med. Andreas Hartjes (Upper Austria) is a specialist in anesthesia, intensive care and emergency medicine. His tasks include treating Covid patients in an intensive care unit.
  • Dr. med. Daniela Litzlbauer (Upper Austria/Lower Austria) is an ENT specialist with an office in St. Valentin. She works a lot with LongCovid patients and was an early advocate for a “ZeroCovid” strategy in Austria. Litzlbauer has also been carrying out vaccinations against COVID-19 since the vaccine was released and is actively helping to clear up vaccination myths.
  • Dr. med. Eva Potura (Lower Austria/Vienna) is an intensive care physician and anesthesiologist. She is the founder and first chairwoman of the “Second Victim” association (www.secondvictim.at/), which – independent of the employer – provides free psychological help for medical staff after critical events. She has treated countless COVID intensive care patients in the last 18 months and the resulting burden on the medical profession. Staff notice themselves and their colleagues.

  • Mag. Heidemarie Eder (Salzburg) is a clinical and health psychologist, teaching therapist for systemic family therapy and has training in emotion-focused and body-oriented psychotherapy as well as trauma therapy.
  • Gernot Ruzicka, MSc , psychotherapist FSP (Switzerland) is an independent psychotherapist and long-standing expert for child welfare authorities and in the field of child and youth forensics. From 2002 to 2011, the native of Lower Austria was a senior psychologist in a closed educational facility for young people in Winterthur.
