Currywurst against corona vaccination? No, this is about the flu shot!

We have received a number of inquiries about a type of advertising campaign that uses currywurst to encourage vaccination.

The word “vaccination” has now almost become a non-word and is often immediately associated with Corona. A query about this campaign also read:

“In a clinic, everyone who gets vaccinated against Corona supposedly gets a currywurst. Is that true?!"

No, of course that's not true!

Flu vaccination for clinic employees

This campaign is an offer from the Nuremberg Clinic . If you look at the flyer for just a moment, you should immediately see that this is about the flu vaccination and not - as in the query - about a corona vaccination.

Conditions of participation can be found in the “small print”. Here you can read that this campaign exclusively at employees of the Nuremberg Clinic and its subsidiaries. If employees can demonstrate current vaccination protection, they will receive a meal voucher that they can redeem for a delicious currywurst menu (or optionally for a vegetarian or vegan menu) between October 2020 and January 2021.

The flu vaccination is recommended annually by the RKI. This recommendation also applies to medical personnel.
