Cyber attack on APA IT systems!
The IT systems of the APA - Austria Press Agency were the target of a cyber attack on Saturday, November 26, 2022. The affected areas were immediately isolated and safe recovery was initiated. Message production and the operation of customer systems were never affected.
“As a company, we are prepared for such a scenario and have immediately set up the APA crisis team and a team of experts with internal and external IT and forensic specialists who are investigating the incident and working hard to resolve it. As an immediate measure, the affected systems were isolated and safe recovery was initiated,” said the APA management.
No information can currently be provided about the damage caused or possible attackers. The incident was reported and investigations are ongoing.
