Seefeld: A 15-year-old developed a very special doormat because it can be controlled via an app and sounds a loud alarm when uninvited guests arrive.

As reported on 'MDR' and 'Merkur', Maximilian Wolf from Seefeld built a doormat that sounds the alarm when uninvited guests arrive.

“What’s the most inconspicuous thing lying in front of the door?”

asks the smart student from the Inning Montessori School, who developed this special alarm system within three months as part of a school project.

“I always wanted to build an alarm system.”

The doormat can be controlled via call, app or email. The student programmed everything himself.

Incidentally, the alarm only goes off if the system is armed and the gate bell has not been rung beforehand.
