An employment agency employee was seriously injured in an assault on Thursday afternoon in his office.
At around 12:10 p.m., a customer attacked the 64-year-old employee with a massive tool for an unknown reason, causing life-threatening head injuries. The seriously injured man was taken to a hospital, where he was immediately operated on.
Shortly after the crime, the police were able to arrest a 51-year-old man from Obertshausen who is under strong suspicion.
The Darmstadt public prosecutor's office, Offenbach branch and the corresponding specialist commissioner have taken over the further investigation. The suspect should first be questioned to clarify the motives for the attack.
