On September 21st, 2018 we reported on the competition of a fake “Porsche” page on Facebook!

Tens of thousands of Facebook users took part in this fake competition. The site looked like this a week ago and was called “Porsche Germany”. We also published a warning and an analysis report .

Fake competition: There is no Porsche to win here!

A week later, the site is now called “Porsche Friends Germany”. The competition itself from back then has now been removed by the operators and the user can see from the page information that the page was first

  • Porsche Germany called and now
  • Porsche Friends Germany

There is no longer a competition, but all participants, there were certainly around 30,000 users, received a personal message on August 28th, 2018 and were referred to a Facebook page of a certain “Miss Sophie”.

We assume that this method will generate new fans for the page mentioned and that you would like to create another Facebook page here.

We cannot say at this moment whether this “Miss Sophie” is directly connected to the “Porsche site” or whether she herself was the victim of a nasty scam.

But you can see which methods are used to cheat users on Facebook and that such prices simply don't exist, even if 30,000 users would have wanted them.
