Nuremberg – On Wednesday evening (August 2, 2017), a guest at a Nuremberg hostel secretly filmed women in the shower. The man was arrested.
In the evening hours, two women were in the shared shower area of a hostel in the Nuremberg city area.
One of the women noticed a cell phone being held under the cubicle wall. She left the shower stall, noticed a man who was hastily leaving the women's shower and followed him to his hotel room. Then she called the police. The 33-year-old man was then temporarily arrested.
The cell phone was confiscated on the order of the public prosecutor. When the phone was first viewed, it was discovered that the second woman present in the women's shower was also filmed showering. It is currently being investigated whether the man took further unauthorized photographs of women. Corresponding investigations were initiated against the 33-year-old (including for violating the most personal sphere of life by taking pictures).
