Teenagers rioted in their own school, filmed it and uploaded it to various social media platforms to brag about it.

Oh how cool…not. At the beginning of December 2018, more precisely on December 4th, 2018, the Gütersloh police were informed about damage to property in the building and on the property of the elementary school on Pelikanweg.

The previously unknown perpetrators had obviously taken advantage of the hustle and bustle and crowds of visitors at a school Christmas party and then allowed themselves to be locked inside the school.

The perpetrators then went on a rampage there: They tore a fire extinguisher out of the wall holder in a classroom, emptied it and destroyed it. Garbage cans were damaged and a DVD player was rendered completely inoperable. In total, this alleged property damage resulted in damage of 1,500 euros.

Now it's coming!

One of the suspects filmed their riot with his cell phone and bragged about this film on various social media channels, where it quickly spread and became known to the responsible district police officer.

He immediately initiated extensive investigations and managed to identify three young people as suspects for this damage to property. These are boys aged 13, 14 and 16 from Gütersloh. They did not provide any information about the facts of the case in their police interviews.

Note: The police also use social media!
