Emmerich – On Monday evening, officers from the Emmerich police station were called to an “injured person” operation on Gerhard-Storm-Straße around 6 p.m.
When the officers arrived, a resident of the house was already being treated by emergency services. After the facts were clarified, the matter turned out to be a serious case of domestic violence. The woman from Emmerich was injured by punches and kicks from her 70-year-old husband. She suffered numerous bruises, hematomas and also open injuries. The woman was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Mayhem
Criminal proceedings were initiated against the 70-year-old for grievous bodily harm and he was banned from his home and banned from returning for 10 days.
