Wilhelmshaven – A 49-year-old from Wilhelmshaven had several thousand euros stolen last week, early on Monday afternoon, June 12, 2017, through a trick theft. The handover was voluntary because there was supposed to be a curse on the money...

How could that happen?

The 49-year-old drove to Werftstrasse to go shopping on June 10, 2017 and parked her vehicle in a parking lot. After getting out, she was approached by a Russian-speaking woman who said she had a “special gift”.

The stranger stated that she could see that the 49-year-old was not doing well. During the exchange, another woman suddenly appeared from the side and apologized for being late.

The first woman mentioned a curse that would fall on both women. She would like to take a closer look at this curse. The three women walked down from the parking lot and later stood in an alley on Wiesenstrasse. The 49-year-old was given a thread and asked how many children she had.

One knot should be tied per child and another for them. The unknown woman explained that in the event of a possible curse, the thread could be pulled completely straight, which is what ultimately happened to the 49-year-old - the knots came loose and she had a straight thread in her hand. Now, in order to get rid of the curse, eggs and napkins would have to be obtained; the second woman should stay with the 49-year-old for protection.

After purchasing the required items, an egg was wrapped in a napkin. The 49-year-old was then asked if she had any money at home. The 'sorceress' explained that the curse would not only be on the 49-year-old, but also on all her money. For this reason all the money must be brought here; she would then 'uncurse' it through prayers.

The women later arranged to meet at a consumer marketplace on Ernst-Barlach-Strasse. The 49-year-old, accompanied by the second, unknown woman, finally collected a large, five-figure sum of cash from home. The envelopes with the money should now be held to your chest; Meanwhile the 'sorceress' held prayers in Russian. The women then arranged to meet on June 12, 2017. The purpose of this meeting was to check whether the prayers had achieved anything.

The following Monday, the 49-year-old finally drove to the parking lot around 2 p.m. This time the 'sorceress' unpacked a case with needles and explained to the 49-year-old, among other things, what could happen with these needles. She was then asked to spit on the tips, the needles might fall apart, etc.

After a short walk, we talked again about the money, which would have to be 'escaped' again, so the 49-year-old fetched the sum from home again. The second woman present gave the 'enchantress' a bundle that was wrapped in a red cloth and thread.

The money handed over by the 49-year-old was wrapped in a cloth with purple flowers and also tied with a thread.

The 'sorceress' had both bundles in her arms, both women were supposed to exhale air and turn into a bush as they exhaled. After exhaling three times, you were allowed to turn around again and breathe into a glass of water that you had brought with you.

The bundles were handed back to the two women, the prayer was then repeated, and the 49-year-old was then allowed to go home. The 49-year-old was expressly told that she was not allowed to open the bundle yet. This would first have to be placed under the mattress and only opened in a week.

When she opened the bundle yesterday, Monday (June 19), a week after the meeting, the 49-year-old finally received her big surprise: instead of the disenchanted money, she was holding old newspapers in her hands . In this context, the police assume that at least two women acted together: the alleged sorceress and the allegedly late woman who only pretended to hand over her money to be disenchanted.

Description

The 'enchantress', described as having a corpulent figure, is said to have been around 160 cm tall, around 55 - 60 years old, with dark blonde hair tied back and striking large brown eyes. At the time of the crime she is said to have been wearing a skirt and, among other things, said the prayers in Russian.

The second woman, the woman who allegedly showed up late at the parking lot, was said to be around 165 - 168 cm tall, around 35 - 40 years old and had brown hair tied in a ponytail. She was also wearing a long skirt at the time of the crime.
