At the moment, countless Facebook users are sharing a status post that has been around for months. This mentions that there are supposedly hackers who steal pictures from the respective profile and create nude pictures from them.

These are then allegedly shared on Facebook in order to “finish” the person in question.

The status contribution in the wording:

I'm not naked either. It's getting worse! Someone should try that with me

Hackers have a new tactic!!!
They get pictures of you and fake these pictures into nude pictures and distribute them to get you ready.
If that were to happen to me and someone sent you a naked picture of me, it wouldn't be me. Please don't believe it!!! Spread the word!!!
DON'T SHARE BUT COPY

Many other users are complying with this request “Don’t share, just copy” because the post is currently appearing on Facebook almost every minute!

What is behind this statement?

We assume that there was probably a case where this happened at one time. But this is probably not a hacker, but rather a cheated boyfriend who wanted to get one over on his girlfriend. As I said, this is an assumption, but we can't explain it any other way.

Why do so many users share it on Facebook?

Quite simply, it says: “Don’t share, copy” and a lot of users comply with this request, even if it doesn’t actually happen to them.

So it is (now) a chain letter without any basis.
