New ways to organize your groups

MIMIKAMA

We are currently testing a new sidebar on Facebook that will allow you to find your favorite groups even faster. It lists your groups and the latest activity in them, such as new posts or chats that you haven't seen yet. You can also pin your favorite groups to appear first, discover new groups, or even create your own groups. If you e.g. For example, if you want to quickly access the latest recipes in your cooking group, you can now pin them to the top of the group, find related groups, and get inspired to start your own group.

We are improving the organization of the individual groups so that you can get straight into the action. A new menu will appear within your group, containing events, shops and a variety of channels. This makes it even easier for you to connect with others and exchange ideas about topics that are important to you. Let's say you're in a cooking group. Then, once accessed, you can keep up to date with the group's upcoming events, purchase the latest items, and seamlessly join in on conversations.

Connect in smaller spaces

Admins can create channels to connect with their groups in smaller, more casual environments. There you can have deeper conversations about shared interests or organize your communities around specific topics in different formats:

  • Chat channels for communities: Here people can exchange topics, collaborate and deepen their relationships in real time via Facebook groups and Messenger. For example, if you're checking out your new barbecue fan group and need real-time feedback on your first brisket, an admin can set up a chat for that.

  • Community Audio Channels: a feature that allows admins and members to casually drop in and out of audio conversations in real time. If you would like to hear best practices from other grill masters in your Grill Fans group, an audio channel could be set up that is available in your Facebook group and Messenger.

  • Community feed channels: a way for community members to connect when it's most convenient for them. Admins can organize their communities by topics within the group so members can connect based on specific interests. For example, if you're in a group for barbecue fans, there could be a feed channel specifically for smoker-related posts and comments.
