In a recent phishing email, fraudsters pose as “Meta for business”. The aim of the scam is to get the respective Facebook password and data from existing Facebook accounts. It is this email:

The content of the email as verbatim:

“Your ad has been approved
Hello, Your ad has been approved and should start showing results soon. Click View Ad below to manage it or see how it’s performing.”

Translated means:

“Your ad has been accepted
Hello, your ad has been approved and should appear soon. To manage the ad or check its status, click View Ad below.”

If you now click on “Watch ad”, you will end up on a fake login page from Facebook (Meta)

If you look at the URL (citofarma.com.br…), you can actually recognize the fraud immediately, because this URL does not belong to the Meta group. If you enter your Facebook account access data at this point, it would be forwarded 1:1 to the fraudsters and take over your identity.
