For months, fraudsters have been trying to get Facebook users' login details through fake Facebook support pages.
They are quite “creative”, the scammers who try to give the impression that they are part of the official Facebook support team.
They usually share the cover photo of Facebook pages (not from the private profile) in order to throw a wrench into the page owners.
You can be sure of this.
Facebook would never “ask” you for your login details in this way! This is what the now very well done phishing attempt looks like:

What happens if they get your login details:
If the fraudsters get your login details by following the link and entering your details, these criminals will ultimately take over your profile.
You proceed as follows:
- You create a page called, for example, “FBSecurity Notice” or as in the current case: “ Support/Pages” .
- They improperly use the initials of Facebook (fb) or the “f” Facebook logo as their profile picture. This gives the page mentioned an official character.
- The next step is to browse Facebook pages and, as in this case, share cover photos. Since cover photos are always “public”, this is very easy to do.
- From the moment the named page shares the cover photo of any page, the respective admin / page operator receives a notification and usually automatically follows the tip to the fake FB support page, as shown above.
If you follow the link on the fake page, you will reach a fake Facebook login page:
If you were to enter your login details here, they would immediately fall into the hands of the fraudsters.
The criminals can then easily and conveniently take over your Facebook account and act in your name.
They would then not only have access to your account itself, but also to those pages and groups in which you also have admin rights.
Result:
Under no circumstances should you follow a link that asks you to log in somewhere!
These are scammers who want to get your data!
