A fake shop that has even advertised on Facebook offers shirts from artists and bands. You will have to wait in vain for the goods!

The comedian Bülent Ceylan himself warns about this fake shop on Facebook:

Hello guys, I need your help!!!

Fan items have been sold under false names for a few days now!!

This is a fake shop.

Please report this page so that it is blocked by Facebook!

Please ONLY order fan items and merchandise via the official fan shop.”

Not only comedians like Bülent Ceylan and Chris Tall, but also bands like Die Böhsen Onkelz, Slipknot, Seeed and Volbeat are apparently (!) sold at “Liger Tees”.

If you're thinking of shopping there anyway, be warned, because it's a fake shop !

Identifying feature 1: No contact address

Before you let yourself be dazzled by the selection and prices, you should look for an imprint or a contact page at such shops.

You can see that there is only a contact form at “Liger Tees”, but there is no imprint with contact details anywhere, the “Copyright” link at the foot of the page simply leads back to the main page.

Identifying feature 2: The Whois query

With a “Whois” query (in German: “Who is”) you can see who created a page and how long it has existed. Normally at least, because the creators of such fake shops like to keep their identities secret and use anonymization services to do so.

As an example, let's look at the URL of a fake shop that offers Timerland shoes. To do this, we go to http://whois.domaintools.com and enter the URL of the shop there. After a security query as to whether we are not a robot, we see the results of the query:

The shop has only existed since last month, the creator of the page has been anonymized!

Conclusion

It is not clear who runs “Liger Tees”.
The site has only existed for a month, the creator cannot be found on the site, he has had his data anonymized, and he does not appear to have a license to sell these shirts. We therefore advise you not to buy from this shop! If there is any doubt, it is better to stay away from it and look for trustworthy platforms where the product may be more expensive, but is at least guaranteed to be received.
