Whoever needs gets. If you have too much, you leave something behind. What a nice thought, and so close to Christmas.

And this thought is reflected in an image. A picture that has appeared more often on social media in the last few days and warms the heart.

In this picture we see a kind of shop. What is important, however, is what we see in front of and on the window, because there is a clothes rack and a sign can be seen above it. The sign reads:

"You are cold? Have something warm! Do you want to help? Leave something!”

But what kind of shop is this that opens our hearts again before Christmas?

My heart should jump happily!
My heart should jump happily!

The fact check with heart: open clothes rack

For us, this fact check is a through ball and a penalty at the same time, because this photo comes from Vienna (the home of Mimikama ). More precisely, it was called in the 6th district on Mariahilferstrasse (sometimes also “MaHü”).

We don't see just any shop here, but rather the Caritas pop-up store. And that's how we got on the hot trail about the warm heart.

The motif is the open clothes rack from Caritas. The photo was taken in 2017 and the open clothes rack campaign also appeared in various media (see here or here ). The photos and the articles are from February 2017.

In addition, Caritas also started a Facebook event for February 28, 2017, which can still be accessed ( here ). In it you read:

You are cold?
Have something warm! Do you want to help? Leave something there!

There is now an open clothes rack in front of the Pop Up Store on MaHü:

Here you can jackets , warm hats and sweaters and take them with you!

(Due to space constraints, please no shoes, pants, shirts or shirts at this time.)
