DOG CATCHER IN NRW

PLEASE FORWARD URGENTLY!!!!

Please share this with your friends:
There are currently professional dog thieves in North Rhine-Westphalia. They come with a box truck with lots of cages in it. The license plate is from Poland or the Netherlands. They are targeting dogs that are on a leash in front of the supermarket. Christa heard about it two weeks ago from a woman in the neighborhood and today she saw it herself at Netto. Unbelievable, unfortunately she was too far away to see the license plate.

Please copy this to your status or share it with your friends. They deliberately steal dogs that are on leashes in front of the supermarket. So pay attention to your dogs until these animal abusers are stopped. We love our dogs and I don't even want to imagine what they do to the animals.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG ALONE IN FRONT OF THE SUPERMARKET!!!

The fact check

The Sharepic is not new. We already reported on this picture in June 2016. ( look here )

At that time, teammate Mike contacted Tierhilfe Niederrhein directly by telephone. The result: The letter does not come from the club, but various versions are circulating. The content is always the same (see above), but you can find some with a logo and some without.

Tierhilfe points out that an original letter is generally signed by the creator and distances itself from letters of this type. In addition, users can on both the Facebook page and its own website .

If no corresponding warnings are found in these two places, then the Tierhilfe Niederrhein association has not issued a corresponding warning.

On December 28, 2019, a similar warning appeared on Meine Rheinische Anzeigeblatt . Parts of the text correspond to the content of the sharepic from 2016.

Conclusion

The sharepic “Dog catchers in NRW” has been shared on the internet since 2016.

Of course, it cannot be ruled out that criminals will get the idea and steal dogs on leashes in front of the supermarket. However, this sharepic is not an official letter from a club or a current warning.

There are no reports from the police.
