At least Fanta doesn't look for new influencers this way.

It's an old game: big promises are made in a WhatsApp message. These promises supposedly come from well-known companies or the products of well-known companies are mentioned. These promises are then linked to certain conditions: You should take part in a viral competition and also an advertising competition. And in the end there is nothing left except a flood of advertising.

All you can say is: Welcome to the world of fake competitions! They cheat, lie and cheat as much as they can. Just like the following competition, which claims to be Fanta, but Fanta isn't actually in it.

The decoy

A message on WhatsApp claims that Fanta is looking for new influencers and that you can even win great prizes. Sure, winning is always great. If you follow the link advertised, you will end up on a website that is completely in Fanta's corporate design. The impression is that Fanta is actually behind the campaign.

You will then be held back for a bit on this website and will first have to answer 6 questions. These questions do not represent any claim, so you can reach a conclusion even without reading them. By the way, this result is a little surprising, because no matter how you answer, you are always a winner.

By the way, while you're giving the answers, prize notifications keep popping into the picture. Here, different winners are named every few seconds in order to give the whole structure a supposed authenticity. These mentions are of course made up and follow a programmed pattern.

The conclusion

Now here we are, supposedly we've won a prize and we're supposed to pick it up. Before doing so, however, the website insists that you recommend this supposed competition. By forwarding this via WhatsApp, you of course become a multiplier yourself.

Particularly strange: During our test run, we weren't even redirected at the end, but were taken back to the start of the competition. Well, thank you too.
