Kiel - A seven-year-old girl got her finger stuck in the drill hole in a bench while playing.

The girl's parents and neighbors on Arkonastrasse in the Wik district had tried in vain to free her finger with soap and oil. The professional fire department was called for help at 3:38 p.m. The crews of a fire engine and an ambulance managed to free the girl after around an hour. The bench standing outside was completely dismantled.

Thanks to the very careful approach of the rescuers, the girl remained uninjured. She was cared for the whole time by her parents and the emergency services. During the rescue, the girl remained calm and even laughed. The emergency doctor who was called as a precaution did not need to take action
