There are currently fraudulent emails in circulation that pose as messages from FinanzOnline. These professionally designed and seemingly harmless emails contain a link to a fake FinanzOnline login page. There, users are asked to enter personal information – a classic case of phishing.

Recognize financial online deception

On the outside, these emails look real: They inform you about an alleged document in your “mailbox” and ask you to log in to FinanzOnline.

The procedure is similar to real emails from the financial service provider. What is alarming, however, is the link included. If you click on this, you will be taken to a website that claims to be from FinanzOnline. It is suggested here that a repayment of €286.93 is due from the social funds.

Users will be asked to select their bank.
