Berlin: A woman was seriously injured in an attack on Sunday morning in Mitte.

At around 4:50 a.m., the fire brigade and police were called to Panoramastrasse to respond to an injured woman who had been physically assaulted.

According to current findings, the 24-year-old is said to have been attacked by two men who then fled.

Paramedics took her to hospital for inpatient treatment with head injuries.

The course of events and the background to the crime are the subject of investigations conducted by the criminal investigation department of Directorate 3.

After the attack on a woman on Sunday, March 26, 2017, in the early hours of the morning in Mitte, the Berlin police are looking for witnesses.

Investigations revealed that the 24-year-old was said to have been attacked by just one man. Another man and a woman who accompanied the alleged attacker are not said to have been involved in the crime. The victim is still receiving medical treatment in a hospital.

The State Police at the Berlin State Criminal Police Office is currently investigating a homophobic background.

The investigators ask:

  • Who witnessed the attack?
  • Who can provide information about the suspected attacker and/or his whereabouts, as well as his companions?
  • Who else can provide relevant information?
