This Thursday morning there was a special operation for the Norderstedt police officers.
At around 4 a.m., an alert citizen reported that camels were running around freely on Ulzburger Strasse. The officers actually found five camels moving on the footpath and cycle path there. According to the witness, there was never any danger to road traffic because the camels did not enter the road.
The police were able to find an employee at a nearby circus. He brought the camels back to the circus premises. The camels were probably able to escape from their enclosure due to inadequate fencing.
