On Wednesday night, the memorial plaque for Uwe Lieschied, who was killed in the line of duty, was damaged with burning car tires on the grounds of a primary school in Neukölln - Berlin police were horrified

As reported on the official Facebook page of the Berlin police, unknown people threw a burning car tire onto the grounds of a primary school in Neukölln on Wednesday night, damaging the memorial plaque of their colleague Uwe Lieschied, who was killed in the line of duty.

A witness discovered the fire around 12:30 a.m. and alerted the fire department and police. The fire department extinguished the small fire on the elementary school grounds on Fontanestrasse.

Police shocked

The police are shocked by the incident and refer to a letter of confession that has surfaced.

“We mock dead police officers,”

it says there, among other things.

The police are horrified by so much hatred and this inhumane disrespect.

The Police State Security has taken over the investigation into the case.
