In the last few hours, several Facebook users have repeatedly sent us various information via our reporting form that your account would be blocked if you do not reconfirm your FB account within 24 hours.

The reason for this could be that the respective user posted dubious or pornographic content. Here is a current inquiry about the case mentioned:

Today I received a message from Facebook in my “Globus notifications” that I was supposed to have posted pornographic things with my account?!
Then they sent along my cover photo, which only shows the Langeoog beach!
I was told that I should enter my account details using the following link to make sure that I was also the owner of the Facebook account... If I didn't do this, my account would be blocked within 12-24 hours that I can no longer use this!
I don't understand any of this because I haven't done anything wrong and my friends also say that nothing wrong has been posted in my name! Can you tell me if this link is legitimate and from Facebook?
Thanks so much.

This is the following information, which supposedly came from Facebook:

NOTE: The notification listed did NOT come from Facebook, but from internet fraudsters who usually pose as “Facebook Security”. These mark the respective victims, for example in an image, as in this case in the cover photo of the person who informed us about it. Through this “marking” the user receives a notification and most users then follow this instruction.

What is behind the reference?

This link actually hides a fake login posing as a Facebook login . According to this page, you should log in here within 24 hours so that your own account on Facebook is not closed. This claim is of course a false claim to put pressure on the visitor.

There is also a rat tail behind this supposed login. First, the “secret question” is asked, which may seem plausible, but this is followed by a request for credit card details. This is where you notice discrepancies, but it is usually too late because the access data has already been lost.

What happens then? You often lose your Facebook account to fraudsters, who in turn change the name of the account. The new name is then: Facebook Security. And with this account the same cheating method is started all over again in the new circle of friends.
