It's not the first time that some IDIOTS have created FAKE PROFILES on FACEBOOK and played with the FEAR and HELPFULNESS of users in order to lure them into a TRAP.

Just a few days ago, we reported on the supposedly missing Marie H. reported. Internet fraudsters pose as “HERMAN SCHUTTE” by creating a FAKE PROFILE. To do this, the SCAMMERS FAKE a status post and pretend to be “MISSING.XYZ”.

The aim of the fraudsters is to COLLECT DATA!

So these are data collectors! If the user clicks on the link, he or she will be redirected to a COMPETITION. Here he must (can) enter his data such as first name, last name and email address.

Here it still says:

I agree that the organizer and its partners will inform me by post or telephone (max. 4 partners) or by email (max. 14 partners) about offers from their respective business areas. I can choose the partners myself, otherwise the organizer will choose them at his own discretion . I can revoke my consent at any time. Further information about this here.

In other words, the user will be bombarded with even more spam emails and spam SMSes.

It is not possible to say at this point what will happen to your data, but in our experience, it is often sold to other companies!

There have been a lot of dubious status posts like this lately.

These are always first tested with fake fraudster accounts. Then you start publishing them in various Facebook groups.

Members of these groups, in turn, fall into the trap and spread this nonsense further. This triggers the viral avalanche and one user after the other falls into the trap!
