Freiburg – An escaped pot-bellied pig gave the police a mission in Weil am Rhein on Tuesday morning.

MIMIKAMA

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., a driver reported via emergency call that a pig had met her all alone on Bühlstrasse. She had now driven it into a front garden and was guarding it. A patrol came to the scene and found “Emma,” a pot-bellied pig, grunting happily in the front yard.

As a result, an attempt was made to catch the pig, which weighed 50 kg but was very agile. "Emma" didn't like the police's plan at all and she fled further into other front gardens. With the help of local residents, we were able to locate the animal's owner. It turned out that the Japanese pot-bellied pig “Emma” (currently 9 months old) had escaped from her stable on Bühlstrasse and then went on a discovery tour and search for food.

After several minutes, “Emma” was lured back into the stable by the owner using sweet temptations.
