Oranienburg - A 29-year-old Somali appeared at the immigration office on Adolf-Dechert-Straße yesterday around 3:45 p.m. to clarify a concern.

However, this could not be fulfilled and the man did not leave the district's premises even after repeated requests. After the authority's employees informed the police, it turned out that there was a valid arrest warrant from the Plauen district court against the 29-year-old. This was a substitute prison sentence of 40 days or a total of 480 euros.

Since the man was unable to pay the required amount, he was then arrested. After about eight hours, the money was raised by fellow countrymen and the man was released after making the deposit. An investigation into trespassing was initiated against the 29-year-old Somali. The criminal investigations are ongoing.
