Hello pony friends,

In 72202 Nagold on the Dürrenhardt manor, a former Shetty breeding facility is being closed down. All animals come on the weekend of September 14th. to the butcher or dealer. The Shetty herd consists of 36 mares with foals at foot, yearlings, two-year-olds... The owner (alcoholic) has become overwhelmed and now has to sell the herd at the slaughter price (€1 per kilo as €160-200 per Shetty). . There are beautiful ponies. I'm going myself on Saturday, September 7th. I'm going to the Black Forest and getting 2 mares - on the one hand I still have room in the trailer for 2-3 ponies and on the other hand I want as many as possible to have a good place. Please forward the email to all your contacts, maybe a place will open up. I look forward to further inquiries.

Best regards,
Sylvia XXX

It would be great if as many of these animals as possible could be helped - and maybe there is someone who can help.

Apparently the Dürrenhardt horse farm is being closed down and a herd of Shetty is looking for a new owner!

Analyzing or researching such a status post is not very easy, but we have located the alleged creator (Sylvia B.) on Facebook and have already sent her a message asking for clarification.

We have not received a response yet, BUT we have already seen a status post on your profile page, as it is “Public”, that the above status post is a hoax and that it is just a rumor.

Dürrenhardt horse farm will not be closed. The message in Facebook is wrong! Rumors about the farm and its owner are false and were not put online by me. Sylvia BXXX

Another reference can be found in a “Horse Gate Forum” which says:

Sylvia BXXX, in whose name this message was spread on FB, distances herself from it.
At no time did she spread such a report, nor does this report contain any truth. This breeding will not be discontinued under any circumstances.
I have just received this message from Ms. BXXX's area. Anyone who dials the specified telephone number will hear a corresponding announcement on the answering machine! I would like to ask the moderators to close this thread. Modified by s. (09/05/2013 at 10:28 a.m.)
