Are you male, young and dream of stylish high-end speakers? Then this police warning is addressed to you!
According to the Berlin police, the description fits exactly into the prey pattern of fraudsters who are up to mischief in Germany - now again in Berlin. The Berlin police published what it was about in a status report on Facebook:
They drive through the city, mostly in vans, targeting young men and offering high-quality speakers for a bargain price. Apparently you've just set up a recording studio and still have a pair of professional speakers left over that you can now get cheaply. Or boxes were delivered, but too many were loaded onto the delivery truck.

They are happy to point you to a homepage where the speakers are offered for exorbitant prices. If you are later dissatisfied with the speakers, you can complain - a cell phone number is provided. If you don't have enough money with you, the fraudsters will be happy to accompany you to the bank and even bring the speakers to your home.
The disillusionment comes when you start using the expensive-looking speakers at home. No trace of audiophile delight. The boxes turn out to be roaring cubes. Instead of a feast for the ears, there is horror for the ears. Of course, no one can be reached on the cell phone number where you can complain about the boxes.

The police advise
Our advice to prevent it from getting that far is short: don't buy the boxes.
Don't be fooled by the scammers' inventive stories and call 110 instead. If you have already been scammed, be sure to file a criminal complaint for goods fraud.
