Some things sound unbelievable, so much so that you might think they are fake. Like the wedding of a couple who have lived together for 80 years.

A wedding after 80 years. Now many readers may be wondering at this point whether that is even true and, if so, whether it was really necessary. We can't answer the latter, but we can check whether the wedding took place.

It's about a sharepic. You can see a photo of an older couple in the sharepic. According to the sharepic, this should be the bride and groom. You read:

He needed time to make sure.

And now they're sitting there, newly married. Behind them are the guests. And a sharepic that makes them known on the Internet. And now there's a Mimikama fact check on these two. Well, what more could you want to achieve in life!

Fact check wedding at 103

This wonderful story of this couple's wedding is not fake! The photo actually shows a couple from Paraguay. This is a section of a photo from the wedding. This photo can be found at Getty Images, among others ( see here ). The picture reads:

Paraguayans Martina Lopez (CR) and Jose Manuel Riella (CL) take part in the religious ceremony of their marriage in Santa Rosa del Aguaray, San Pedro department, Paraguay on October 15, 2013. Lopez, 99, and Riella, 103, have lived Together for 80 years, they have 8 children, 50 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. The wedding took place in October 2013. So we see Jose Manuel Riella and Martina Lopez there, the people behind them are their family. At least most of the information on the Sharepic is correct.

And at this point, the statement on the sharepic, “He needed time to make sure,” was probably meant as a joke, because the two had been legally married since 1963. The only thing missing was the church wedding. According to the bride, her children insisted on the wedding.
