Stuttgart-Mitte - Just in time, a dog left behind in a car on Lautenschlager Strasse was saved from death in the heat on Thursday (June 22, 2017).

An attentive passer-by discovered the completely exhausted animal in the car around 3:40 p.m. and immediately alerted the police. The officers were about to break the window when the dog owner appeared with a family member. According to his own statement, he said he was in a store for 20 minutes.

Prevention:

Remember – do not leave dogs unattended in the car in these temperatures. In just a few minutes, the interior of the car can heat up to 70° Celsius on a warm summer day. Even a shaded parking space or slightly open windows are not sufficient protection for dogs.

Since dogs have only a few sweat glands and mainly cool down by panting, they can no longer regulate their body temperature in the hot interior of the car. You suffer irreparable organ damage or cardiac arrest.
