A video is shared on Facebook showing a gathering of an unusually large number of crows. However, these “meetings” happen again and again. The birds are looking for food and a warmer climate.

When nature amazes you

A video is currently being shared on Facebook that shows hundreds of crows gathering in a parking lot in Texas.

The crows sit everywhere: on the cars, on the buildings, on the ground.
Huge swarms keep moving. People are torn between amazement, horror and incomprehension of what is happening here.

Older reports

However, the pictures you see here are not current.

Dailymail published a report on this in March 2019, stating that this had taken place in December of the previous year.

Another video about it was posted in October 2016. Here, the birds gathered in the Walmart parking lot in Houston, ABC13 reported.

So it is obvious that this is not a current event. The “bird gatherings” take place again and again.

But what does it mean?

Hannah Bailey is in charge of the bird collection at the Houston Zoo and explains that the birds gather in large groups to look for food, find warmer areas when the season changes, and to seek safety.

“They are part of our environment and help combat insects in our region. So remember that they eat insects and mosquitoes. So be happy about it even if they dirty your cars,” Bailey added.
